My name is Jose. I have a degree in Hispanic Philology from the University of Salamanca and have worked as a Spanish teacher for more than 15 years. I am passionate about literature (especially poetry). In fact, I have published some books and have collaborated in anthologies.

The best thing about teaching: I believe that teaching a language is the best profession there is. The privilege of helping others, through the acquisition of a new language and its culture, to integrate into a new way of feeling and living, to enrich themselves personally with a new vision of the world, is priceless. I like my classes to be meaningful and very interactive. I seek empathy and generate a special environment of trust; I think it is essential that they feel like protagonists in order to internalize the language structures that they are learning.

My favorite things: I am passionate about cinema (I completed a master’s degree in fiction scriptwriting for film and television and I have written and produced several short films)… Ah! and I am passionate about music (I’m a big music lover!) and also sports like cycling, running and playing soccer.
