Terms and conditions

World Class Bcn SCP is a Spanish school registered in the Mercantile Registry of Barcelona.  The identification data of World Class Bcn is:

Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to this website and transactions relating to products and services.

Enrolment

In order to enrol, the student needs to fill up the registration form.

a) If the student doesn’t need accommodation nor acceptance letter (for VISA or any other purposes), they can book the course by making a 30€ deposit (non-refundable). The remaining amount can be paid on arrival, the first day of the classes.

b) If the student needs accomodation but they do not need acceptance letter, they can book the course by making the payment of 50% of the course. The remaining amount can be paid on arrival, the first day of the classes.

c) If the student needs acceptance letter (for VISA or any other legal requirement), the total amount must be paid upfront.

Payment

Unless mentioned or agreed otherwise, the student is obliged to pay the remaining sum to the school on the first day of the course, before the course starts. The remaining sum is the total sum minus the paid amount. The student is responsible for ensuring that payment is received in full by the school, without bank charges having to be paid by the school.

Methods of Payment

The school accepts the following methods of payment:

  • Cash
  • Paypal ([email protected])
  • Debit cards and credit cards:  Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards and debit cards.
  • Bank transfer. In case of the bank transfer the school should receive the full amount required, in euros, free of bank charges. The school’s bank details are:

Minimum Age

The minimum age is 18 years old. For certain courses and under certain circumstances exceptions can be made. In case of a booking by a minor, an authorization letter has to be completed and signed by the parent or legal guardian.

Missed lessons

If the student cannot attend their classes anymore, the school must be informed in writing at least 48 hours before the class to pause the course. The course might be resumed when the student is ready or the classes might be transferred to another person.

The student can freeze their classes once every 6 months. The school cannot guarantee availability in the same group upon return. Students who pause their course are allowed one year from the freeze date to use their remaining hours.

Cancellations

The student who wishes to cancel their course must notify the school in writing by email. Notifications not received via email will not be accepted. The date of cancellation is regarded to be the date on which the written notice was received by the school.

a) The students who booked a course with a 30€ deposit, are not entitled to get it back.

b) The students who booked the course without accomodation, can cancel the course 10 days before the course start, and the school will refund the payment, minus 100€.

b) The students who booked the course with accomodation, can cancel the course 10 days before the course start, and the school will refund the payment, minus 200€.

d)The students who booked the course and the school sent them Acceptance letter for a reason different than obtaining VISA, will not get refunds.

e)The students who booked the course and the school sent them documents for VISA purposes:  the school only accept the cancellation if the visa is refused. This must be demonstrated by providing the school with the original visa refusal letter from the Spanish Consulate.

Cancellations are not possible once the student has started to study at school. No refund shall be given after the day the student starts the course.

If the school needs to cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances a full refund will be given.

In the event of low enrolment for a group class, the school reserves the right to reschedule the class to a later start date, combine two groups, or shorten the duration of the class as they see fit. In this case, students will have the option to transfer their credit to a different class, or get a refund if the new dates do not fit their schedule.

Course Changes

All students who wish to make changes to their course must notify the school in writing by email. Requests for changes are subject to availability.

Group classes cannot be converted into private lessons.

Complaints

World Class Bcn Language School welcomes feedback from students. Informal and formal complaints are taken seriously, and staff will follow standard school procedures when dealing with them. The school will respond to the feedback and any complaints students may have, promptly and courteously.

Private Classes

Private lessons packages are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Under no circumstances can a private lessons package be refunded, in part or in full.

For private lessons, the school must be notified at least 24 hours in advance of any schedule change or class cancellation the student wishes to make. Otherwise, the student will be charged for the class.

Activities and Excursions

The school reserves the right to amend the program of activities.

Disruptive behavior and safety

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who is disruptive, or who causes any kind of safety concern to our students or staff.
